barefoot in the park

remember those gorgeous new shoes of mine? the one, which i posted a photo of a few entries earlier.. the really pretty one that's pointy and has pretty roses on it? the pretty little one called rosso?
well guess what? they hurt like hell. like. hell.

walking in them for about 2hrs last friday left me with hideously disgusting blisters that i shall not post a photo of due to the "pg" rating of this blog.. yes.. my blog has a "pg" rating!

now i'd like to think that i have a pretty high threshold of pain, at least when i want to.. but there's only so much that one can suffer for vanity/fashion.. damn this pair of shoes.. after the two hours my toes had had enough torture so i took them off and walked around barefooted =D

now don't be so alarmed.. i tend to do this quite often.. but usually at the end of the day when i'm with clement (somehow i feel less stupid when i'm walking around barefooted with him) and there's less people in town.. so if you're a random passerby to my blog.. and you happen to see a barefooted girl along orchard road.. chances are that it's me.. come say hi!

so there i was.. bouncing along orchard road barefooted for all to be appalled/amused/insertpreferredemotionhere at from about 4pm to 2am =D jon was disgusted.. clement thinks it's cute when im walking around barefooted in public (but he's biased).. rou was shocked.. etcetc.. i tried repeatedly to put my shoes back on but they just hurt too much..

my naked feet travelled from lido to wisma to taka to ps to timbre (near where the old national library used to be).. artfriend has really dusty floors.. i love nice carpted floors.. i put my toes in a bit of temporary torture by wearing my shoes when i go to the ladies.. roads are understandably extremely dusty.. er the only time my naked feet failed me was this dusty path full of sand and gravel.. clement piggybacked me for a bit over it =)

as much as i love shoes.. i quite like walking around town barefooted.. ah you have to try it to understand.. so go out and buy a pair of pain-enducing shoes and walk around town in it for a few hours before kicking them =)

*("barefoot in the park" is a pretty good play.. i watched it a few years ago.. the one with adrian pang starring in it.. and i saw the original 'movie' of it.. catch either of them if you get the chace to!)
