ok so it has taken me pretty damn long to blog a new post but here you go! firstly, this week has definitely gotten much better. think i did my emo/frustrated/depressed rant last sat night or sunday early morning, which ever way you want to look at it.. and later on in that same sunday.. i met a couple of friends at this park near queensway station, it's called hyde park i think.. and on the way there i actually felt worse and worse.. some emo crap was brought forward from the night before plus the station that i needed to go to was closed for maintenance and improvement *coughbullshitcough* (which happens a lot over here).. so i had to get off at this stop and take a bus down.. it was just one tube station stop difference but with london traffic jams, it took me about half an hour i think.. and there was this massive miscommunication between my friends and i about taking the train or bus, which resulted me in arriving there way earlier than they did.. the whole thing was just really frustrating and i almost made a turn back home but decided against it..

but queensway station.. it's this area where my mom and sister lived (in a hotel) whilst they were in london with me for about a week.. it has quite a few chinese restaurants and two of them are one of the best in london ("gold mine" and "four seasons") i think.. the roast duck is amazing.. and there's starbucks (this deserves an entry alone that i will blog about soon).. this sandwich shop that we went for breakfast quite often.. went there to get a smoked salmon sandwich for lunch and the sandwich guy still remembered me.. asked about my mom and sis.. just the walk around this area made me feel better.. the whole familiarity of it.. the sandwich guy knowing me, and later the owner of "gold mine" too.. amazingly delicious starbucks (will blog soon soon..).. it was all just really comforting..

took my sandwich and starbucks (ah..) caramel frapp over to the park to wait for my other friends (who ended up being stuck on the bus for an hour and a half.. damn london transport services..) the park has such a peaceful and calming effect.. beautiful lush trees and plantss.. wide fields.. cyclists.. couples.. friends.. family.. a dad playing catch with his two sons (definitely cliche and yet at the same time quite a rare sight).. picnics.. this little playground for kids (couldn't go in to see it better though.. area was restricted to kids and parents with kids..) .. plus the beautifully cool weather.. and i just sat on one of the benches and just took it all in.. it was really just so amazingly calming..

sitting there in m own thoughts.. two of my friends (another two, not the ones on the bus but who were meant to meet us at the park) happened to walk by my bench and i joined them.. it was all really coincidental, especially considering the huge size of the park.. but little conincidences like, it's like how it's the small things that count..? and now for the photo that i've been meaning to share :

[think i might print out a copy of this photo that i took to give to him]

this is king arthur =) well his name is just arthur but we like to think of him as "king arthur".. he comes to the park every week to feed the squirrels.. and i think we're going to join him in doing that.. he even named some of the squirrels.. one's called charlie and another's camelia =) the squirrels are so cute and so friendly =) kinda like "king arthur" =)

(see that suspicious stain on my friend's jeans? [second photo from bottom left.. the one directly next to 'me'..] there was a squirrel jumping around from one of us to the next.. staying on our laps/shoulders for a quite a few seconds.. it was on my friend's lap for the shortest period of time and after it jumped off.. tada there was the stain! it took a piss on her.. it was so hilarious =D )

and on the way back, i "tao pow`d" yummy beef fried rice from "gold mine", which was a pretty good way to end off a pretty good day and start to "better days".
